Getting ready for a break.

It's amazing how easy it is to change state when our favourite music is played or a tune that reminds us of a particular event or situation. I love using music to enhance my positive state or if necessary to adjust my state.
I added a particular piece of music to my Facebook account this morning, it reminded me so much of a time when my daughter and son were very young and we danced in the living room, singing at the top of our voices for all the world to hear. I was immediately transported in my imagination and memory to that time and the thoughts and feelings which were experienced then, namely happy, carefree, excited and loved and appreciated. We can access these feelings at any time using this simple technique. All it takes is imagination.

Exciting Times

Well we find ourselves getting closer to a year end and a new one closing in. I can't help but wonder in amazement at the workings of the Universe. I look back to around this time last year and reflect upon the changes in my life, in what is essentially a short period of time in comparison to evolution. I look at the aquaintances who've come and gone, I think about new friends who've magically arrived at just the right time, the circumstances which provided these meetings and the learning and growing which accompanied such change. If I'd been asked last year if these enormous changes were possible, I would have to have said "no".
I'm learning, and now I know that faith and trust in your own goals and the part that universal consciousness plays, is not only required but crucial. I am no different from anyone on earth, I have the same 24 hours and the same brain, if I can do it, you can.

Wokshop creativity and synergy

I'm playing catch up with my office work after organising and then presenting our Coaching Information and Workshop on Saturday. What a fantastic group of people who attended, they shared their views, their synergy and energy in helping each other look at new ways of acheiving outstanding results in their work, career, family and finance. We looked at and talked about motivation, coaching, inspiration and self empowerment. I'm sure everyone left with renewed passion for stretching and growing in all areas of life and taking action on their Goals. Thank you all for participating.

Another Coaching Workshop

Another week gone by, and so fast. We are in the middle of organising for our Coaching Information and Workshop on Saturday. It looks like we'll have another great turn out. There is always much enthusiasm and energy from all who participate and everyone really enjoys the motivation and inspiration from the event. We have Shelley Elliott presenting with us tomorrow. As well as being an Author, Shelley is so extremely knowledgeable and well versed in the world of Personal Development and Mind, Body, Spirit that I sometimes wonder how we managed to get so lucky to have such a talented and hard working individual partnering us.
In the meantime, I'll stop wondering and just enjoy the fact that we are very fortunate to have her considerable talents boosting our efforts.

Feel your way to success

In the 9 years or so that I have been learning and practising personal development techniques and reading a wide variety of material from many diverse areas. One particular technique that continues to play a considerable part in my many successes is my sense of feeling. When you connect to your feelings and raise your excitement or vibrational resonance, not so much in expectation, but rather as if you are in the circumsatnce and/or environment that you wish to manifest, this creates what some call a gap in mind. This is where the subconscious does everything possible to create or restore order between the perceived feeling and the physical manifestation of the desired outcome. This is an invaluable tool and can be used efficiently by all who wish to make change. I wish you success.

Tis the season to be jolly

The next few weeks is supposed to be a time of happiness and joy but all too often it becomes tiresome and stressing for many people. We aim to have a peaceful and relaxing time but get all caught up in our thoughts about what has to be done and who needs what and from who. We organise and plan like we've never done all year. We set goals to be, do and have everything perfect for one or two days.
Take some time out to relax and revitalise by concentrating your thoughts in the present, focus on your breath and let go of your stressful thoughts for just a moment. Realise that you cannot change any outcome by worrying or fretting about it.

"One step at a time"

What an incredible day we had on Sunday at our "One step at a time" walking workshop. Our group was so forward thinking and intent on self improvement that it proved to be a fantastic success. The combination of cool outdoor air and fresh breeze made it an invigorating walk with many, many ideas from our group to find new ways to their goals. It truly was a stimulating and thought provoking Coaching session. Definitely more soon.

Positively Alive

Thursday already, I must have been in the zone because I don't remember much of this week. It has been busy since our Coaching Information and Workshop on Saturday. On Monday I was at a Law of Attraction Meeting and then on to a Positively Alive meeting in London, Ontario on Tuesday. Then working from home for the rest of the week, catching up with some students and organising my events calendar for the rest of this year and for the beginning of next. Organisng our "One step at a time" Walking Workshop for Sunday up in Guelph. I'm really looking forward to Coaching while getting some exercise, should be incredible.

What an incredible weekend.

We held our 3rd Life Coaching Introduction and Information/Workshop on Saturday in The Holiday Inn, Guelph. It was fantastic. The support from the attendees and interaction was enthralling, it really was energy filled and enthusiastic. I delivered an introduction to what Accredited Life Coaching means and how it empowers peoples lives by drawing the best from within. With more than a little motivation and inspiration along the way, it proved to be a very successful and fun filled day. We exchanged ideas and shared experiences and used some great Coaching Techniques to enable our participants to empower themselves towards their goals.
Duncan delivered a short talk on the history of coaching and identified many areas where Coaching is growing and heading in the future.
One of our fellow students, Kim Murphy then delivered The Coaching Circle Workshop, showing everyone how this simple model can be so very powerful in facilitating change.
The day was rounded off by a group meditation exercise which was received very well.
Lesley played an incredible part in organising the event and my personal thanks are extended to her for the massive amount of energy she contributes at every level, we are so very lucky to have someone so dedicated and passionate about Life Coaching.

An evening with friends

I was invited to join some friends and students in a guided meditation this evening. The evening was lead by my very good friend Shelley Elliot who is, without doubt, one of the most intuitive, caring and compassionate people I have ever met. We had a great evening sharing experiences and talking about our visions for our futures. I've returned home feeling light and happy, cared for and supported. What a fantastic way to spend an evening.

Exciting Times

We've just set up a group called Positively Alive in 3 locations with more to come. Windsor/Essex was our first group, closely followed by Kitchener/Waterloo and Cambridge and then London and St Thomas. The groups have been a project of mine for quite some time. I wanted to create something that was open and flexible. A get together where everyone can contribute and learn from each other wether they were upbeat and enthusiastic or quiet and shy and just wanted to be in a positive environment, enjoying the energy and atmosphere. With Lesley's help we created our Meetup groups aimed at providing a positive place, safe and supportive, with a view to the more optimistic side of life. Meetings that support positive change and encourage others to stretch, totally supported, totally encouraged, totally celebrated.

It has been a very constructive day

It has been one of those days that really fly past, just like sports men/women experience no time when they're in the zone. I had that kind of day, it sort of goes by quickly and unnoticed and then at the end of your working hours, you cast your mind back over what you've acheived and you can't quite remember doing anything. Then on closer inspection and recall you realise that you've moved mountains, you've pushed through many tasks, little challenges, overcome countless obstacles and had some fantastic successes which remind you to feel grateful that you are positively alive.

I've never been that confident when writing my thoughts out for all to see, but things have changed for me over the past few years. My confidence has grown as has my self esteem and my self image has also improved giving me a new outlook, more positive and ambitious, less afraid of challenges and able to reframe any circumstance to my benefit. As Anais Nin said "we don't see things as they are, we see things as we are". It did not happen overnight, there was no miracle turnaround, my major changes came over a 5-6 year period which is quite hard to pinpoint really because some changes have been quick, others slow.
Now that my thinking has improved I am setting GOALS both for the short and long term based on my core values. I wish that something meaningful was taught about VALUES at school, it would save a great deal of heartbreak in later life for many people.

this is new for me, a first time blog. It's quite exciting because I'm making massive transitions in my life, immigrating to Canada being one of those, and linking up with Europes Premier Life Coaching Training Company to bring A+ accredited Coaching to Canada. Only ten years ago I was a shadow of my new self, hadn't even thought about moving house let alone immigrating.
I was on the verge of cracking up with my life and couldn't begin to understand why. I started some Personal Development Courses and started to read related materials. I soon found myself embracing change and looking for a more exciting and worthwhile lifestyle. So here I am a Life Coach and Personal Development Consultant trained and qualified with Noble-Manhattan Coaching Ltd.
