Studies have shown that the 3rd Monday in January is considered the most depressing day of the year. This is the time when people realise that the promise and excitement of the New Year has waned, charge card bills from the festivities have arrived and the new excercise regime has lost its attraction.
Once again the negative chatter box, the internal critic gets to work, self berating and deprecating ourselves for our lack of results.
Stop, stop, stop. Become aware of the internal dialogue and replace it with a new thought something more supportive and affirming.
I am in control and I'm pefectly healthy.
I am enjoying my life and everyone in it.
I have the power to change.
I love me and I love being me.
I am in control of my thoughts and I choose to praise myself.
You see "You more than anyone else in the world deserves your love and affection" (Bhudda). Give yourself a break and praise yourself because sometimes you are the only one who can and will.
Namaste, Allan
